When Hilton first announced the Hilton Honor program change, one of them is the ditching the their current system of having hotel categories, that really makes the hotel points redemption like a stock market!
To assure members, apparently "Hilton won’t charge more than the current maximum being charged for a given category." But they DID NOT keep their promise.
Example: Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon. It was a category 2, and was an amazingly good value 10,000 points per night, and out of sudden, it's all 20,000 points per night! I'm very disappointed with Hilton breaking their promise.
