Free Bus Travel To Most Heathrow Airport Hotels, Avoid Hoppa Bus Fee!

This is something not many tourists know about, to be honest, not many Brits know about, you can travel on the local bus Free of Charge from and to most Heathrow airport hotels!

If you look for transport information on the Heathrow airport website, they mostly will list the Hoppa bus as the travel option (Unlike other airports, it's a monopoly here!), and the Hoppa charges you a single costs £5 and return is £9. Ouch, when you can actually travel Free! Funny they don't advertise it much, not even on the hotel website, some will only put a vague Local Bus as the alternative travel option, without the Free!

This free travel zone is roughly the zone stretches on the North side from the Sheraton Heathrow Colnbrook to the Sheraton Skyline along the Bath Road. On the East side following the path of the perimeter road down to the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow Airport. Then on the South side along the Southern Perimeter Road out to the World Cargo centre. It covers the most airport hotels, such as the Marriott, Renaissance, 2 Sheratons, Park Inn etc. Not the DoubleTree Hotel though, but it's still much cheaper using the local bus to DoubleTree instead of the Hoppa bus.

There are some cases that the Hoppa bus is your better option, especially when your flight is time sensitive, or on Sundays, Public Holidays, as the bus services and the connection Tube services are limited.
